From the main screen, tap Add Photos & Videos to open your phone's media picker, then choose the photos and video clips you want to include. You can add more, remove any of them, or change their order at any point before you export.
How do I enable photo library permission?
Gift of Moments asks for photo library access the first time you need it — for example, when you add media through the picker or save your finished video. (Voice narration, and the microphone access it will need, is planned for a future update — it isn't part of the app today.) If you accidentally deny a permission, you can turn it back on in your phone's Settings app, under the permissions for Gift of Moments.
How do I import a music file?
Choose a compatible audio file already saved on your device through your device's file picker. You must have the rights to use any file you import — see our Music & Content Policy for details.
Why can't I import music from Apple Music, Spotify, or YouTube Music?
Those services protect their music so it can't be copied out and used in other apps or videos. Gift of Moments does not import music from Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, or other DRM-controlled streaming services, even if you personally own or subscribe to the song. You can still import your own compatible audio files, or use the original instrumental background tracks created specifically for the app.
How do I edit or remove a photo or video I've added?
Tap any photo or clip on your timeline to open its options, where you can trim, reorder, or remove it. Changes apply immediately in your preview so you can see the result before exporting.
How do original clip audio and background music work together?
Gift of Moments combines your video's original audio with any background music you add. Voice narration is planned for a future update and isn't part of the app today.
How do I export and save my completed video?
Once you're happy with your preview, tap Export. Gift of Moments will render your finished video and save it to your device, where you can then share it however you like.
What do I do if an export fails?
Try again after closing other apps to free up memory, and check that your device has enough free storage space. If exports keep failing, please email us at [email protected] with your device model and OS version so we can look into it.
What do I do if my phone doesn't have enough storage?
Video editing and exporting need free space to work with. Try removing unneeded photos, videos, or apps, back up files you want to keep, and then try your export again.
How do purchases and purchase restoration work?
Gift of Moments does not currently have any purchases or paid features. If that changes in the future, this section will explain exactly how to buy and restore any paid features, processed through the applicable app marketplace's own purchase system.
What devices and OS versions are supported?
Gift of Moments requires iOS 16.4 or later. The minimum Android version hasn't been finalized yet and will be published here before launch.
