Music we may provide

Gift of Moments may offer original or properly licensed instrumental tracks within the app for you to use as background music. [PLACEHOLDER: confirm actual licensed track sourcing before publishing]

Music you import yourself

You may import compatible, DRM-free audio files already saved on your device into your Gift of Moments project. You must have the necessary rights or permission to use any music or audio file you import — for example, because you recorded it yourself, it's licensed for this kind of use, or you otherwise have the rights holder's permission.

What Gift of Moments will not do

Gift of Moments will not download or import music from Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, or similar streaming services. Owning a song, or having a subscription that lets you listen to it, does not by itself give you permission to include that song in a video you create and share — those are two different kinds of rights, and the app does not grant you the second kind.

What can happen after you share a video

Social media and video platforms scan uploaded content for copyrighted music and other material independently of Gift of Moments. Depending on the platform's own policies, a video you share that contains music may be muted, have its audio replaced, be monetized in favor of the rights holder, or be blocked or removed — even if the app allowed you to add that music to your project. This is outside of our control.

You own your own content

You retain ownership of your own photos, videos, voice recordings, captions, and the completed videos you create with Gift of Moments. This policy governs how music and copyrighted material may be used within those creations — it does not affect your ownership of your original material.

Reporting a copyright or content concern

If you are a copyright owner and believe content associated with Gift of Moments infringes your rights, please email us at [email protected] with:

• A description of the copyrighted work you believe was used without permission
• Enough detail for us to identify the content in question
• Your contact information
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized

We will review the request and respond as promptly as we can.
